How to Tie a Drop Loop Knot

The Recoil Rig^™ produces the most life-like action in your soft plastic lures when the hook can swivel freely. To achieve this, attach the hook to your fishing line with a Drop Loop Knot.

Step 1. Thread your fishing line through the hook eye and make an overhand knot or "cArossing loop". Pass the tag end of the line through the loop six times. Leave about 18-24 inches of tag end for Recoil Rigging.

Step 2. Pass the hook between the lines about mid-point, using the hook point to open the twist.

Step 3. Pull the hook down until a small drop loop is formed.

Step 4. Finally, moisten the line and slowly pull both ends to cinch down the knot, adjusting the drop loop size as you go.
