How to be effective in your role.

We understand what it takes in terms of money and equipment for you to compete and excel in sportfishing. Our Prostaff program gives you a fair chance to prove your worth and earn substantial discounts and benefits that help you achieve your goals. In addition, you have the satisfaction of using and being associated with the most innovative, best quality high-performance lures on or under the water! And as we launch even more exciting and productive lures in the years to come, you will get the first crack at them.

Secret Weapon Lures is building an organization that exemplifies Christian values. Our Prostaff team includes tournament anglers and fishing guides who demonstrate integrity and steadfastness in their faith, and who promote the image of sportfishing by actively supporting events that benefit families, youth, disadvantaged people, and conservation.

Positive attitude and praiseworthy conduct carry more weight with us than impressive tournament performance and fishing accomplishments. Prostaffer's effectiveness in promoting Secret Weapon Lures and their influence with anglers and tackle dealers are vital to their success as a Prostaffer. Their rewards are accomplishment-based; the more they do that directly benefits Secret Weapon, the more they receive in return.

A key reason you were chosen as a Prostaffer is that your tackle choices influence other anglers; so for tackle categories where Secret Weapon has lures (e.g., spinnerbaits, buzzbaits), Prostaffers are expected to use our lures exclusively. They earn points that can be redeemed for products and promotional items through a variety of ways. For example, Prostaff exhibit our logo on their apparel, boat, and vehicle; introduce and promote us to tackle retailers and anglers; and represent us at promotional events.

Prostaff Promotion

Secret Weapon Lures also promotes its Prostaff by creating a Prostaff page on its Website for each member. Your photograph, profile, and fishing tips are posted there for all to see. Prostaffers find this page a useful resource as they go about lining up additional sponsors.

We encourage you to submit tips and update your profile frequently to keep your page content fresh and encourage visits.

Prostaff Identification Number

You receive a Prostaff number with your Prostaff Welcome Packet. Use this number on all activity reports, Field Staff referrals, and product orders. The number also serves as your Store Coupon code, which you will use to redeem your points in the Secret Weapon’s online store.

How You Can Recruit Field Staff

One way to earn points, and help the company, is by recruiting exceptional Field Staff.

  1. Identify expert anglers, fishing guides, and tournament competitors whom you believe will be effective representatives for Secret Weapon Lures. Their job is to use our lures, spread the word to other anglers about the company and products, and influence dealers by requesting our lures by name or asking them to stock our products.
  2. Explain the Field Staff Program. Details are included in your Prostaff Packet.
  3. Paperwork. Make copies of the Field Staff Referral Form that you will find in your Prostaff Welcome Packet. Fill out to top section of a Field Staff Referral Form (including your Prostaff number) and give it to the prospect.
  4. Field Staff numbers are linked to your own. They are a two-digit number added sequentially to the end of your Prostaff Number. For example, if your number is TN05JH07, your first Field Staff recruit is TN05JH07-01; the second is TN05JH07-02, and so on.
  5. Instruct the Field Staff prospect to fill out the rest of the Referral Form and mail it to the Prostaff Director with a check or money order for $66.50, payable to Secret Weapon Lures.

How to Earn Points

Refer to the Prostaff Program Points Schedule.

Earning points is simple; just keep your eyes open and take advantage of opportunities to promote SWL. Points are based on the relative impact that various activities have on dealers, other anglers, and the tackle-buying public.

On-line - On a Monthly Activity Report, document activities, accomplishments and results of work you have done to increase the visibility and credibility of our products and company. If you have additional documentation or photos, submit them by separate e-mail to the Prostaff Director.

Hard-copy - Prostaffers may choose to submit Activity Reports by mail. First, make copies of the report form that came in your Prostaff Packet.

On a monthly basis, submit a report by mail to the Prostaff Director. Include attachments that document your activities and accomplishments. These include printed copies of newsgroup and Internet forum posts, printed and Website articles, references to television and radio interviews, tournament results, and photos.
